This project consists of a two-story cast-in-place concrete addition to the original Phase I facility designed by LOA Architects in 1993. The program called for radioactive storage containment and maintenance support, which is located on the first floor. The second floor houses offices and a large training room, which also functions as a Boulder/CU Emergency Preparedness Control Center. The aesthetics of the building were designed with particular sensitivity to the context of the CU campus guidelines.
